Hillary Clinton at the beginning of her job as the President Obama’s chief diplomat, led the federal agents to observe her as the multiple arms of Vladimir Putin’s machine unleashed an influence campaign that was designed to win access to the new secretary of State, her husband Bill Clinton and a few more members of their inner circle, as per the interviews and once-sealed FBI records.
During Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State under Obama, she was under routine observation by federal agents, looking for attempts of enemy infiltration. In the lead-up to the crooked Russian Uranium Deal, we are now learning that the FBI’s surveillance uncovered illegal activity surrounding Clinton and her advisors.
Newly released FBI files, containing evidence gathered between 2009 and 2010, show the depths of Russian infiltration into the Democratic party, Clinton’s inner circle, and show a picture of a concerted effort to push the US into giving up an incredible 20% of our uranium reserves to Russian agents.
The FBI details how a female Russian spy posed as an American accountant, and used false ID to become employed by a major Democratic donor. The spy was able to use this position in order to attempt to access powerful personnel in Clinton’s State Department. A coordinated effort, ran from the Kremlin, also shows how Russia’s state-controlled nuclear energy companies gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Clinton Global Initiative, and the Clinton Foundation between 2009-2010.
Newly released evidence also shows how federal agents were shocked by the timing of a massive $500,000 speaking fee paid to Bill Clinton by a Russian state-backed bank, just days after Secretary Hillary Clinton arranged for top American energy executives to meet with Putin, in Moscow.
“There is not one shred of doubt from the evidence that we had that the Russians had set their sights on Hillary Clinton’s circle, because she was the quarterback of the Obama-Russian reset strategy and the assumed successor to Obama as president,” said a source familiar with the FBI’s evidence at that particular time, speaking only on condition of anonymity.
In an October 2009 communication that was intercepted by the FBI, Russian handlers ordered their spies to gather specific pieces of non-public information from Secretary Hillary’s State Department. “Send more info on current international affairs vital for R., highlight US approach,” the message to the spies said using the country’s first initial to refer to Russia. “Try to single out tidbits unknown publicly but revealed in private by sources closer to State department, government, major think tanks.”
“In the end, some of this just comes down to what it always does in Washington: donations, lobbying, contracts and influence — even for Russia,” said Frank Figliuzzi, the former FBI Assistant Director of Counterintelligence.
Figliuzzi had supervised the post-arrest declassification and release of records from the 10-year operation that had unmasked a major Russian spy ring in 2010. It was one of the most important U.S. counterintelligence victories against Russia in history, and famous for nabbing the glamorous spy-turned-model Anna Chapman.
While Chapman had dominated the headlines surrounding that spy ring, another one of the Russian woman posing as a mundane New Jersey accountant named Cynthia Murphy was closing in on accessing Secretary Clinton’s department, as per the records and interviews.
For most of the 10 years, the ring of Russian spies that included Chapman and Murray acted as sleepers, spending a “great deal of time collecting information and passing it on” to their handlers inside Russia’s SVR spy agency, FBI records state.
Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said, “Nothing has changed since the last time this was addressed, including the right’s transparent attempts to distract from their own Russia problems, which are real and a grave threat to our national security,” he wrote in an email.
