Pope’s Response To Child Abuse Scandal Is “Silence And Prayer”

Pope Francis
Can we bring the old Pope back?

Monday, Pope Francis said “silence and prayer” were the best ways to combat those seeking “division.”

The Vatican has been accused of knowing about sexual abuse claims and covered it up.

The Pope has been criticized for not saying more in response to the allegations, and during service he spoke briefly on the matter.

“With people who lack goodwill, with people who seek only scandal, who seek only division, who seek only destruction, even within the family: (there is nothing but) silence. And prayer.” – Pope Francis

Silence is not going to help the Pope and the Catholic Church when it comes to the alleged scandal from the Grand Jury Report in Pennsylvania that named 300 priests that abused over 1,000 victims.

It is time for the silence to be broken.

What do you think about the Pope’s call for “silence and prayers” as a way to combat the sexual abuse scandal? Let us know in the comments below.
