Is The Leaderless Left Losing Ground Ahead Of Midterms?

Donald Trump
Red Wave! Red Wave! Red Wave!!

Democrats are doing everything they can to win the House and possibly the Senate during the midterms, but as a leaderless party, are they hurting the chances of a blue wave?

The Democratic Party has no real clear leader right now. Barack Obama, probably the most well liked Democrat, has not fully committed to campaigning for the party. He’s made a few appearances, but really isn’t the vocal voice and leader the party needs.

Outside of Obama, there are tons of liberals and progressives jockeying for position. Hillary Clinton is still doing interviews and public appearances.

People like Kamala Harris and Corey Booker, likely 2020 presidential candidates, have used things like the Kavanaugh hearings to get attention. Joe Biden is doing public appearances and thinking about running in 2020.

The one thing that all Democrats have in common right now is their hate for Donald Trump, but will that translate to votes?

The party is simply fighting against Trump and not for anything. There is no big plan to return power to Democrats and in turn fix the problems of our country. The only plan is to stop Donald Trump.

With the way that Democrats treated Brett Kavanaugh during the Supreme Court nominations has likely turned off many Independents. The move by the Democrats also emboldened the right.

Without any leader reining the party in, the Senators on the committee ran amuck. Interrupting the start of the hearings, walking out, calling for delays and FBI investigations and all in a losing effort.

Now Kavanaugh has been confirmed, people like Hillary Clinton are calling for less civility in dealing with the GOP. LESS?

The left needs a leader. One who will work to unify this country and not divide it. All we are seeing from the left is division right now and that strategy won’t work against an already divisive president. Obama won in 2008 because he had a campaign motto of “hope”. Now the left’s motto is “stop Trump” and that just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

What do you think? Are the Democrats hurting themselves by not having a true leader? Let us know in the comments below.
