Independent Citizen has a New Editor-in-Chief, Austin Petersen
A lifelong advocate for Liberty, Austin grew up on a Missouri farm before he went on to attend college at Missouri State University.
After graduating, he went on to work in both Washington, DC and New York City – where he honed the art of media relations.
Then, in 2016, Petersen’s Pro-Liberty convictions pushed him to run for the highest office in the land. Running for the Libertarian Party Nomination, Petersen took second place to Governor Gary Johnson in a historically crowded field. In 2018, he ran for public office again – this time in his home state of Missouri – against Democrat Claire McCaskill.
Petersen has a national following across a broad swath of the Pro-Liberty, and Conservative Movement from his time working with Judge Andrew Napolitano, at Fox News, and with the grassroots juggernaut, FreedomWorks. His podcast, The Freedom Report, is the newest feature on Independent Citizen and is downloaded tens of millions of times by Liberty lovers across the nation.
Please welcome your new Editor-in-Chief, Austin Petersen!
