Thursday morning, when the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation hearings began, Twitter users flooded the platform with comments, jokes and wild claims that caused #KavanaughHearings to be the number one trending topic on the site.
A lot of people are watching and talking about the Kavanaugh hearings on Twitter as his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
There were a very large number of people that believe Ford is telling the truth and have already deemed Kavanaugh guilty.
I believe Dr. Ford! Brett #Kavanaugh is guilty and should not sit on any bench, especially the U.S. Supreme Court. #BelieveSurvivors #KavanaughHearings

Some think that Kavanugh should be “fast tracked” to jail.
A person guilty of these charges should be fast tracked to jail not the Supreme Court… #KavanaughHearings

Some people did not want to abandon our judicial system and claim Kavanaugh is guilty without proper evidence. Some even blamed this on the Democrats.
I can’t stand democrats. Apparently you’re guilty until proven innocent because a female Democrat came forward about an alleged assault almost 30 ago, but don’t you dare question her about it! #KavanaughHearings

One user made a very good point about men needing justice as well.
What happened to being innocent until proven guilty, it seems when it comes to sexual assault allegation men are naturally presumed guilty and have to fight to prove their innocence.
Where did we go wrong?
Don’t men also need Justice as well? #KavanaughHearings— Inquisitor (@TheMheshimiwa) September 27, 2018
Despite the serious nature of the hearings, many Twitter users decided to make jokes about Ford.
#KavanaughHearings Her ability to sound like she’s about to cry for 5 minutes is Impressive..

To many women on the left, Ford is being hailed a “hero” for speaking out.
Thank you Dr. Christine Blasey Ford for standing up for those too afraid to do so. Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless. Thank you. #KavanaughHearings #BelieveSurvivors pic.twitter.com/MjDTbmaVny
