The airlines in America had a record-breaking summer and they are giving the credit to the president’s economy.
In a letter to the Washington Examiner, a spokesperson for Airlines 4 America said, “With a growing economy, steady employment gains, and household net worth at an all-time high in the first quarter of 2018 ($100.8 billion), passengers are taking advantage of persistently low airfares.”
The letter went on to say that the airfares are remaining 20% below rates from 2000 after adjusted for inflation.
Record summer travel means that people had the money to take bigger vacations and more confidence to spend that money.
Summer vacations are not the only thing that proves the economy is doing well.
The latest job opening report shows that there were 6.94 million jobs available in July. Up from 6.82 million in June. The job opening numbers are a good indicator that the economy is growing and people are leaving old jobs and looking for new ones.
Things are going well. The small business optimism is also at it’s highest number ever.
