Half of the country now approves of President Donald Trump.
According to the latest daily presidential tracking poll from Rasmussen, Trump’s approval stands at 50% among likely U.S. voters.
However, that’s just one point above the 49% who say they disapprove of Trump.
Drilling down further, 35% of voters told Rasmussen they “strongly approve” of Trump’s performance. 41% “strong disapprove.”
Trump’s approval rating has been remarkably consistent during much of his presidency, but his approval took a slight dip in mid-July, falling to 44% in Rasmussen’s poll.
That dip came amid controversy concerning his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki–after Trump said he believed Putin when he told him there was no attempt to influence the 2016 election.
But now, Trump’s back on top–and is close to some of the highest poll numbers he’s had during his entire presidency.
