Tensions within the White House regarding Russia’s intrusion during the 2016 presidential campaign has increased. On Tuesday, President Trump shifted the blame on former President Barrack Obama and his administration for doing less than supposedly they should have done to stop Moscow’s meddling in the 2016 election.
Trump tweeted, “I have been much tougher on Russia than Obama, just look at the facts. Total Fake News!”
Trump has not faced any criticism in recent times as he decided not to condemn Russia directly following an indictment from last week. It was revealed that more than a dozen Russians were accused of interfering in the election.
Last weekend, President Trump took his frustration on Twitter where he posted a series of tweets that claimed the charges prove his campaign did not collude with the Kremlin.
“There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections, there’s no evidence that that has happened in the past or that it will happen this time, and so I’d invite Mr. Trump to stop whining and make his case to get votes.” — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
….The President Obama quote just before the election. That’s because he thought Crooked Hillary was going to win and he didn’t want to “rock the boat.” When I easily won the Electoral College, the whole game changed and the Russian excuse became the narrative of the Dems. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
Trump hit Obama on Russia one more time later on Tuesday, tweeting, “I have been much tougher on Russia than Obama, just look at the facts. Total Fake News!”

Donald Trump’s comments on social media were the latest attacks he unleashed on Barrack Obama. He believes that Russian meddling is due to the failure of last presidential administration. Even though the US intelligence community investigated the plot before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump posted another tweet which stated, “Obama was President up to, and beyond, the 2016 Election. So why didn’t he do something about Russian meddling?”
On Tuesday, President Trump gave a shoutout to ‘Fox & Friends’ on his Twitter account for having a ‘great timeline’ on the Obama administration’s failures on Russia.
Thank you to @foxandfriends for the great timeline on all of the failures the Obama Administration had against Russia, including Crimea, Syria and so much more. We are now starting to win again! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
