A local restaurant owner decided to post a sign on his door letting his guests know why service is a little slow.
Here is what the sign said…
“To our loyal customers…………
Sadly, due to government and state handouts no one wants to work anymore. Therefore,we are short staffed. Please be patient with our staff that did choose to come to work today to serve you.
Thank you for your business,
We sincerely appreciate it!”
Service is slow at all kinds of eateries around the country, and the owner of Taco Loco thinks hey knows the reason.
You know what, he might just be right.
Can all the blame be put on unemployment? I’ve worked in the hospitality business, and from experience the pay is cap. You can make good tips, but you have to also work bad shifts that make about $12.
Paying someone $2.50 an hour plus tips is just outdated. Maybe the workers just don’t want to come back.
We’ll know for sure when the free money runs out in September. That is, of course, unless we go into another lockdown and more free money.
