Kanye West, recording artist and fashion designer, was lauded by Republicans and dismissed by Democrats when he came out in support of the President just a few weeks ago. Now it appears that Kanye West has changed his mind.
In a Twitter rant posted on Tuesday night, Kanye said he feels “used” and is removing himself from politics and focusing on creative endeavors.
My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!

The latest immigration crisis looks to be the cause of the artist’s new feelings. During his rant he professed his support for the troops and then talked about immigration and mothers and children looking for a better life.
I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable.
I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.

Kanye is likely referring to the migrant caravan with over 14,000 people from troubled countries making their way to the southern border. Trump has plans to stop them from entering and has authorized 5,200 troops to defend the border.
West has been a big supporter of the president and just about the only black celebrity who proudly wore a MAGA hat.
Kanye even went on the SNL, the standard for liberal television, and went on a rant wearing a MAGA hat. A speech that can only be found on YouTube now since it was removed from the broadcast after the live performance.
This week Kanye is not jiving with the president, but who knows what next week will bring?
