In the 1996 State of the Union Address, then President Clinton spoke on illegal immigration and he sounded a lot like one of the candidates for president this year.
Much like today, illegal immigration was a big issue. Granted there were not almost 100,000 illegals crossing in the first four months of 1996 like they was this year, but it was starting to get bad.
Bill Clinton spoke honestly for once about a real problem facing America, and his words offer a striking resemblance to policy of Donald Trump.

Although Bill didn’t want to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it, he did agree with Trump on the Border Patrol enforcing our laws and welcoming legal immigrants into the country.
Hillary is going to have a hard time against Trump if she can even get to the general election because of things like this.
How can she defend this without pulling her “open border” stance to the right?
