Terror Hits Southern France In Latest Knife Attack

Knife Attack
The 'Religion of Peace' strikes again...

Two people were injured in a knife attack in a town in southern France on Sunday. A woman shouting “Allahu akbar” (Arabic for “God is greatest”, and the catchphrase of wretched Islamic terrorists the world over) attacked two people with a box-cutter at a local supermarket.

The attack came at mid-morning, in the little town of La Seyne-sur-Mer. La Seyne-sur-Mer sits in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, in sunny southeastern France. It is located near the large Mediterranean port of Toulon, which has been a major destination for Muslim immigrants.

In fact, the French have been throwing the doors of Toulon open to violent Muslims since at least the 1540s, when King Francis I of France forced the Christian population of the city to leave so that an Ottoman fleet could spend the winter in the port.

Francis I did this in order to facilitate the Turkish attacks on the Holy Roman Empire, and during the course of the Muslim occupation of the city, they turned Toulon Cathedral into a mosque. After the Turks were done wintering in Toulon, they repaid Francis I for his generosity by pillaging five of his ships as they sailed from the harbor.

So, you could say that Muslim ingratitude towards the people of southeastern France has something of a historical precedent.

In any case, in this latest display of Islamic aggression, one man was stabbed in the chest by the box-cutter-wielding female terrorist. The wound was not life-threatening, however, according to prosecutors.

A woman working at a checkout counter at the supermarket was also wounded, even less seriously than the first victim. Both targets of the attack were taken to the hospital afterwards, however.

“It appears to be an isolated case by a person with known psychological problems,” prosecutor Bernard Marchal said, “though that doesn’t exclude the possibility that she may have been radicalized.”

You think? You think the woman running around a grocery store swinging a box-cutter and shouting “Allahu akbar” was, maybe, just possibly, ever so slightly “radicalized?” That’s some brilliant detective work, right there, bud.

France has been hit by a long string of terrorist attacks since early 2015. The perpetrators of these violent acts are often French-born Muslims who have been exposed to radical Muslim teachings in their home country. Some are outsiders, refugees come from war-torn Syria or even further afield. Some attackers have been in league with ISIS.

This time, the attacker was a 24-year-old woman. She had no police record, and she was swiftly overpowered by others in the grocery store, who held her down until police arrived.

French authorities searched her home, looking for evidence of any connection to ISIS.

“We don’t yet know if this is a terrorist act, but in any case it was terrifying,” Marchal said, with more of his trademark penchant for drastic understatement.

Since this rash of violent Muslim attacks was kicked off by the shooting at the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris in January 2015, more that 240 French civilians have been killed. Last month another man, also wielding a knife and also (predictably) shouting “Allahu akbar,” made an attack on a Saturday night in a busy district of Paris. He killed one person and wounded four others.
