North Korean Leaders Love MSNBC

North Korean military leaders can’t get enough of the anti-Trump morning show on MSNBC, “Morning Joe.”

NBC News foreign correspondent Keir Simmons landed a very rare interview with a North Korean lieutenant colonel, whose name has not been released. The lieutenant colonel revealed that North Korea’s military leaders watch “Morning Joe” every day.

President Donald Trump has had a rocky history with “Morning Joe” co-anchors, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. After relentlessly negative coverage, Trump posted a series of tweets in June 2017 mocking the hosts, including revealing that Brzezinski had appeared the previous year at his winter estate, Mar-a-Lago, bleeding from a recent facelift.

After some additional back and forth, Trump tweeted again–describing Scarborough as “crazy” and Brzezinski as “dumb as a rock.”

But, regardless of Trump’s views, North Korea apparently feels differently, watching the show specifically for its coverage of the escalating tension between their nation and the United States.

According to Simmons, the North Korean lieutenant colonel believes that North Korea “could win a war with America”–and that Trump is “mentally ill.”
