Navy Warship Sidelined Due To COVID

A U.S. Navy warship, the USS Milwaukee, has docked in Guantanamo Bay due to a COVID outbreak on board.

The AP is reporting that about 25% of the crew has tested positive and the ship is pausing its deployment due to the outbreak.

This is the first Navy ship that has had to be taken out of service due to COVID.

The global pandemic is not giving up, and continues to affect the world and the armies of the world.

This is the first ship that has had to pause operations, but it isn’t likely to be the last. How will that affect military operations around the world?

Now enemies could simply send people with COVID to interact with crew and military personal while at port or on leave.

It is a tough time to be in the military and attempting to defend our nation while at the same time trying to fight off the virus.
