Democrats worked hard to make sure their liberal governor won re-election in the state of Virginia, but they failed.
Joe Biden made several speeches, sent tweets and a concerted effort to help Terry McAuliffe win his election, but it didn’t help. Not at all.
Not only did the Republicans win the governor spot, but they won dramatically.
Even the anchors on MSNBC couldn’t believe what happened.
Trump lost big last year in Virginia, but Republicans have come back strong.
Are Democrats worried?
Well, the group at the “McAuliffe” party were not very energized… and for good reason.
What will happen next? Democrats don’t have the hold on Virginia they would like. Is this a foreshadow of 2024?
