The FBI is investigating an explosive device that was sent to the home of left-wing political activist and liberal mega donor, George Soros.
An employee of Soros opened the mail at his New York home on Monday and found an un-exploded device. The person placed the item in the nearby woods and then called police, according to authorities.
Soros was not home at the time and the bomb squad detonated the device. Nobody was hurt. The local police have turned the case over to the FBI.
We are conducting an investigation at and around a residence in Bedford, NY. There is no threat to public safety, and we have no further comment at this time.

Soros has donated billions to liberal causes, progressive candidates and often supports groups that the conservatives disagree with. He isn’t very well liked on the right, similar to how the Koch brothers are vilified by the left.
Soros is not just involved in America, but he is deeply involved in European politics. His actions in Europe spawned a backlash against the billionaire in the wake of Trump’s 2016 victory.
It doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with George Soros, nobody should be sent a bomb in the mail. In this political environment where things are getting increasingly hostile, a bomb being sent to a citizen is another step in the wrong direction.
