AOC attacks company for honoring first-responders

First Responders

Far-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) apparently has a problem with a company showing a little love to health workers and first responders, who are on the front lines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

JetBlue flew three planes over New York City. Each plane had three New York-based themes: “I Love NY,” NYPD, and FDNY.

JetBlue is based in New York City, which has been the national epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic.

New York City alone has recorded nearly 17,000 deaths from coronavirus, nearly 1 in 4 of all U.S. deaths.

Ocasio-Cortez, however, criticized the friendly gesture for being “PR” and for apparently hurting the environment.

“Nothing like a corporate PR campaign that burns jet fuel at low altitudes over vulnerable communities dying from a respiratory virus that compounds on our preexisting and disproportionate exposure to air pollution to show healthcare workers we care,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

JetBlue isn’t the first flyover to happen over New York City.

Last week, the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flew over New York City, also to honor those on the front lines of the pandemic.

Ocasio-Cortez did not criticize the government.
