Teacher offers cash bounty to first Coronavirus victim who coughs on Trump

Paging the Secret Service.

A middle school teacher in Rhode Island has made headlines… after offering a cash bounty to the first person with Coronavirus who can infect President Trump.

Amy Bednarz, who teachers 6th grade English as a Second Language at Villa Nova Middle School in Woonsocket, RI, tweeted on Saturday: “Someone with Covid-19, I will pay you to cough on #Trump.”

Soliciting a biological terror attack on the President of the United States is, of course, illegal.

After receiving backlash on social media, Bednarz instead cast herself as a victim.

One Twitter user pointed out how depraved her comment was and asked her: “Imagine if I wished your student had corona and coughed on [you]?”

Bednarz responded by sharing his response and asking, “Can you even imagine there are such nasty people out there?”

She then screenshotted additional negative comments, adding, “And it continues.”

Eventually, Bednarz seemed to have realized that she was bailing out a boat with a tin can–she abruptly deleted her Twitter.

It’s unclear if the Woonsocket School District is taking Bednarz’s threat seriously, or if the Secret Service is involved at this time.
