Should Congress Ban TikTok?

TikTok is one of America’s favorite social media platforms, loved by teenagers and old people all over America. It is also owned by the Chinese and a suspected tool to capture American’s personal information and populating a facial recognition database.

Some members of Congress want to ban the application all-together.

Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley is leading the charge.

Hawley introduced a bill to Congress to ban the Chinese  application on all phones in America.

Last year all government phones were banned from using TikTok.

Will Americans lose the ability to access TikTok?
