As former FBI Director, Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible ties between Russia and Trump continue, former news anchor, Dan Rather is openly speculating that the President is “seized with fear,” over what Mueller may uncover.
“Donald Trump is afraid,” Rather claimed Wednesday on MSNBC. “He’s trying to exude power and strength. He’s afraid of something that Mueller and the prosecutors are going to find out,” he speculated.
“A political hurricane is out there at sea for him, we’ll call it Hurricane Vladimir if you will, the whole Russian thing,” the veteran newscaster continued.
“It’s still pretty far out at sea, but each day … this hurricane, this political hurricane … is building in intensity.”
There are a number of investigations ongoing into events surrounding the 2016 election. Both the House and the Senate are also engaged in investigations of their own into surrounding events – but Mueller’s special investigation is by far the most powerful, and most prominent.
On Wednesday, news surfaced that Mueller is actively collaborating with the Alt-Left Attorney General of New York, Eric Schneiderman (D) to investigate Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign chairman.
Manafort had reportedly attended the meeting between a Russian lawyer, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner back in June 2016, at the height of the presidential campaign. The Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya had allegedly told Trump Jr. she had damaging information on his father’s primary opponent, Hillary Clinton. However, Donald Trump Jr. immediately released all emails relating to the meeting, with Jared Kushner soon following suite – nothing of interest was found.
The Trump Tower meeting was initially scheduled because Veselnitskaya promised opposition research on Hillary Clinton, but apparently organized the meeting under false pretenses. All Veselnitskaya talked about was the Magnetsky Act, a series of regulations concerning the adoption of international children.
Trump and his aides have since getting into office, have rejected claims and allegations of collusion with the Russians. Trump has repeatedly called the whole investigation as a “witch hunt.”
