The man once known for losing 245 pounds by eating Subway sandwiches got the beat down of his life in the middle of the prison exercise yard.
Jared, who is serving 16 years in prison for child pornography, was tackled in the prison yard and beaten. A fellow inmate left Jared with a bloody nose, a swollen face and scratched. To make matters worse, the one that did the beating was 60 years old.
Steve Nigg, a 60-year-old man in prison for armed robbery, was fed up with the amount of pedophiles in his prison block and decided to take it out Jared, the most famous of them all.
Last summer the former Subway spokesman, Jared Fogle, plead guilty to one count each of traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography.
Nigg, the man who beat Jared, earned some time in solitary confinement.
Jared is having a tough time in prison. It hasn’t even been six months and he has already been attacked.
Pedophiles and child molesters in particular don’t do well in prison. Murderers, thieves and hardened criminals look at people like Jared as less than human. Apparently they think it is ok to kill, but don’t touch kids. That is where they draw the line.
On a side note, it is reported that Jared has gained 40 pounds in prison. They must not serve Subway.
One thing is for sure, Jared is going to have a rough time in prison because this won’t be the last time he runs into trouble.
