A month after Project Veritas’ account was banned from Twitter, the ban hammer was brought down on PV’s founder, James O’Keefe.
Not so coincidentally, in January Project Veritas released undercover footage of Vijaya Gadde – Twitter’s head of “Trust & Safety” i.e. the policy maker on censorship and account suspensions.
Last week, Project Veritas released a series exposing bias at CNN and not long after that, O’Keefe was punted like so many other voices on the political right.
O’Keefe had nearly a million followers on the platform and Twitter accused him of running “fake accounts”.
That prompted James to issue the following statement:
“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts.’ This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday.”
And given Project Veritas’ and O’Keefe’s winning record in these types of lawsuits, odds are good for him.
