Bernie Sanders has become a legitimate opponent for Hillary Clinton and she is not happy about having to work so hard to get the nomination.
Before the Bernie attacks she didn’t really talk about “getting money out of politics” with Super PACs and Citizens United, but his continued attacks on Wall Street and political finances has made Hillary shift to the left.
Way left… at least if you believe what you see on the news.
Hillary is now calling to end Citizens United and change campaign finance laws. She has even gone as far as asking some of Hollywood’s elite actors to help her out.
George Clooney held a fundraiser for Hillary with the donors giving to help Hillary become president and get the excessive amounts of money out of politics.
What does it cost for you to attend such a political fundraising event to help get money out of politics? Not much, just $353,000 per couple. That is pretty steep considering some businesses on Wall Street pay $240,000 just for a speech.
The funny thing is when asked whether the ticket price was an obscene amount of money or not, the former Batman answered with this:
“Yes. I think it’s an obscene amount of money. I think that, you know, we had some protesters last night when we pulled up in San Francisco and they’re right to protest. They’re absolutely right. It is an obscene amount of money. The Sanders campaign when they talk about it is absolutely right. It’s ridiculous that we should have this kind of money in politics. I agree completely.”
George is right about what he said, but why is he supporting the one candidate that takes more money from Super PACs than any other candidate running now?
Why is George giving money to the one person that gets paid $240,000 for a speech to Wall Street executives?
Why? Because George is an actor and although his heart might be in the right place, he doesn’t understand politics.
