Coronavirus is doing the impossible: it’s making the far-left and the mainstream media rally around President Trump.
Even Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a constant Trump critic and one of the biggest leftist bomb-throwers, is applauding the President for his decisive response.
Amid reports that President Trump suspended mortgage foreclosures, invoked the Defense Production Act to help mobilize manufacturing, and demanding cash payments to needy Americans, Omar responded with high praise:
“Politics aside, this is incredible and the right response in this critical time,” she wrote on Twitter.
Omar then quoted fellow liberal “Squad” member, Rep. Ayanna Presley (D-Mass.), writing: “Unprecedented times require unprecedented leadership and we are seeing that in our country right now. I have faith that we will survive this as a nation and build together.”
“Finally, we should never let politics get in the way of good policy,” Omar concluded. “This is a great start and hope others will be part of a united front to push for good policies that will help us work through the economic anxiety the country is feeling right now.”
President Trump has also received huge praise from liberal governors, including Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) and Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-New York), as well as the blessing of CNN anchor Dana Bash.
When even your enemies are coming together to sing your praises: well, it looks like President Trump is doing something right.
