Bannon Weights In On Trump/Corker Twitter Feud

Bannon to the rescue!

President Trump’s former Chief Strategist, Stephen Bannon called for GOP Sen. Bob Corker to resign immediately, after Corker accused Trump of not being able to run the country.

During an appearance on Fox News “Hannity” on Monday night, Bannon passionately argued, “”If Bob Corker had any honor or decency, he should resign immediately.”

Bannon highlighted that it was “totally unacceptable” for Corker to claim in a Tweet that, “The White House has become an adult day care center.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell backed up Corker in this latest fight between the establishment and Trump Republicans, saying, “Sen. Corker is a valuable member of the Senate Republican caucus and he’s also on the Budget committee and a particularly important player as we move to the floor on the budget next week and he’s an important part of our team.”

Bannon argued that the only solution was to get rid of the, “globalist clique on Capitol Hill,” entirely.

“The American people see: This is what they think about President Trump behind closed doors. He happened to tell The New York Times exactly what he thought. It is totally unacceptable,” Bannon said referring to Corker’s interview on Sunday. It has during this interview that Corker said that the president is treating his job as no more than a “reality show” and that he is setting the country “on the path to World War III.”

Corker also accused Trump of running the country like it was a reality show, “like he’s doing ‘The Apprentice’ or something,” Corker explained. “He concerns me,” the GOP Senator added. “He would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.”

Bannon is not the only one that had called on Corker to resign. Ex-Communications Strategist Jason Miller also suggested that Corker “should just resign [if] he doesn’t want to support President Trump.”
