The House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed James Comey and Loretta Lynch to discuss Hillary’s email investigation, but what’s the point?
After the November election, the House Republicans are going to lose their majority and the power they’ve enjoyed since 2010. Why are they just now calling in the former FBI director James Comey and Obama’s former Attorney General, Loretta Lynch?
On Thanksgiving, the House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Comey and Lynch in an investigation into the handling of the Hillary email investigation. Comey spoke to the committee and did exactly what anyone would expect. He didn’t answer too many questions.
Apparently Comey doesn’t know a lot after saying, “I don’t know” 166 times in the interview. He also can’t remember much.
Comey knows that the Republicans will be out of power in the House come January, so the former FBI director is just staying quiet.
Loretta Lynch will likely be interviewed the week before Christmas and Comey will be coming back in for a second interview that week as well.
What can we expect? Expect Lynch to not remember a lot and we’ll learn she doesn’t know a lot either. Why would they talk to the Republican committee when they won’t be asked anymore questions when Democrats take power in January?
Republicans have dropped the ball again.
It has been over two years since Comey finished up his investigation into the Hillary email scandal, but the Republicans didn’t pursue any wrongdoing until now.
Any chance at really figuring out what went on with the Hillary is ending soon. With Democrats taking the House, there is no way they will continue the investigation. The window is closing, and unless they can get some relevant information out of Comey or Lynch before January 11th, then they will not get another shot. At least while the Democrats control the majority.
Do you think Lynch will answer the questions?
