Media Ridicules Democrats’ 2018 Slogan

"Please vote for us, we beg you!!!"

The Democrats have released their newest slogan for 2018, and it’s already being ridiculed in the media.

The slogan is “For the People,” which debuted at a private meeting on Wednesday.

The Daily Caller mocked the slogan, writing:

“Democrats probably won’t like to know that their new message for American voters is the same used by some of the sleaziest businesses in the country, namely used car dealers and ambulance chasers.

“Forthepeople.com is currently registered by Morgan & Morgan, a ‘leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful’ ran out of Orlando.

“Elder Mitsubishi, owned by Scott Elder in Austin, declared itself the ‘car dealer “For the People'” in 2011.”

Even the Democrats who unveiled the tweet were less than enthusiastic–with Illinois Rep. Cheri Bustos, co-chair of the House Democrats’ messaging apparatus, admitting that the slogan was lukewarm at best.

“I don’t think any of us are claiming this is poetic or this is the end-all-be-all of messaging,” Bustos said of the new slogan. “It’s just a way, in a quick way, to put together the answer to what we stand for.”

Bustos added that the workmanlike slogan would help “put it all on paper to say here are our top issues.”

“That’s how you break through this tweet machine coming out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” she added.
