Lindsey Graham Attacked For Quoting Democrat

Is this a new Lindsey Graham, or is it an act to support his reelection effort? Hopefully it's legit!

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) quoted former Clinton staffer (and prominent Democratic operative and CNN pundit) James Carville about sexual assault… and liberals had a melt down over his “offensive” language.

When asked to respond about comments President Trump made about Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Blasey Ford, which interviewer Jeffrey Goldberg claimed were “personal degrading attack on a private citizen,” Graham called the left out for their hypocrisy:

“This is what’s degrading: ‘This is what you get when you go through a trailer park with a hundred-dollar bill,’” said Graham.

Graham was referencing the infamous quote that Carville said in the 1990s about Paula Jones, an Arkansas woman who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault.

As the crowd gasped, interviewer Jeffrey Goldberg quickly stepped in to clarifiy: “That’s actually a reference to something that somebody said.”

“James Carville,” Graham added. “See, most of y’all are too young to remember this.”

Despite the quick clarification, and the fact that Carville’s quote is well-known, the mainstream media took Graham out of context–and used headlines to make it look like Graham himself had come up with the phrase.

Yahoo News tweeted: “Sen. Lindsey Graham defends Trump’s mocking of Dr. Ford: ‘This is what happens when you go through a trailer park with a $100 bill… this is what happens when you go through a trailer park with a $100 bill.’ The audience gasps.”

Yahoo later deleted the tweet, but it didn’t stop liberals on social media from flipping out from Graham’s “offensive” behavior.

Young Turks’ host John Iadarola took to Twitter, writing: “Lindsey Graham on Christine Blasey Ford: ‘This is what happens when you go through a trailer park with a $100 bill.’ And on Donald Trump viciously mocking a sexual assault victim: ‘Everything he said was factually true.’”

The Weekly List’s Amy Siskin tweeted: “Oh my [God]. I am trying to handle the outrage I am feeling right now,” before expressing annoyance that “Yahoo News inexplicably took it down.”

Yahoo has not yet issued a correction.
