Jeff Sessions’ Questioning of the Now Fired Sally Yates

Internet politicos have dug up footage of the recently fired Acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, being questioned by Senator and Attorney General Nominee Jeff Sessions.

The questioning took place in Yates’ own confirmation hearing in 2015.

When asked by Sessions if she would defy a presidential order, Yates responded with a very diplomatic reply that skirted the question to appease Obama and Senate democrats.

At the time, Yates believed her job was to “follow the law and the Constitution and to give their independent, legal advice to the president.”

Yates was fired this week because, rather than give legal advice to the president, as Acting Attorney General, she directed the Department of Justice to not defend challenges to Trump’s ban on travel for refugees from known terrorist nations.
