Is Obama Covering For Hillary?

It has been a long time since President Obama went on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, but he sat down for an interview for the first time since he was a candidate in 2007.

The president answered some questions about the Supreme Court nomination and talked about ISIS, but when he was asked about Hillary’s email and her investigation, things get a little interesting.

Chris Wallace asked President Obama if Hillary jeopardized America with her email.

His response reminds us that he is a lawyer and thought carefully about his answer.

“I’ve got to be careful because, as you know, there have been investigations, there are hearings. Congress is looking at this, and I haven’t been sorting through each and every aspect of this. Here’s what I know: Hillary Clinton was an outstanding secretary of state. She would never intentionally put America in any kind of jeopardy.”

Instead of just saying that he didn’t want to comment on the ongoing investigation, he tried to defend her by saying she would never put us in danger. It is interesting that he is starting to lay down the case now that she didn’t do it intentionally, but something could have accidentally put us in danger.

“And what I also know, because I handle a lot of classified information, is that there are — there’s classified and then there’s classified,” the president stated. “There’s stuff that is really top secret, top secret and then there is stuff that is being presented to the president or the secretary of state that you may not want on the transom, or going out over the wire, but is basically stuff that you can get in open source.”

What does that even mean?

The government has many classifications for documents and Hillary keeps claiming none of hers were labeled classified. She may be right, but that doesn’t mean that they were not labeled top secret or another security classification. She could be trying to wiggle out on a technicality.

Obama seemed to be defending the Democratic front-runner for president and sending a message to the FBI saying that she did nothing wrong. All of this while he states that nobody is above the law.

From our angle, it looks like the FBI has enough to indict, but we will see what happens. Remember that the FBI director is an Obama appointee. Regardless of the outcome of the probe, it is amazing that a candidate who is being investigated in a criminal case is winning her party’s nomination for president.
