The New York City Department of Education has decided to fire 850 teacher’s and aide’s for not complying with the vaccine mandate.
850 is a lot of teachers, and when you add that to the 1,300 teachers who decided to take an unpaid leave for a year and the city is now out over 2,000 educators.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden is on 60 Minutes saying that the pandemic is over.
It isn’t over for the teachers.
The mandate for a virus the president says is over, just cost 2,000 people their jobs.
What about the kids?
With so many teachers no longer employed, are the children still getting the same level of education?
We’ll find out after this school year.
If the pandemic is really over like the president says, New York should drop the mandate.
Then they should give those teachers their jobs back… if they want them.
