Trump Tweets Out Russia Collusion Smoking Gun?

Mark Warner
This is what "Russia Collusion" looks like - in case anyone was asking.

On a Thursday night, President Trump tweeted in reference to a Fox News article, reporting that top Senate Dem, Mark Warner (D-VA) attempted to get in touch with the author who prepared a controversial report that “proved” Trump’s links to Russian election meddling in 2016.

“Wow! -Senator Mark Warner got caught having extensive contact with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch,” Trump mentioned in a tweet. “Warner did not want a ‘paper trail’ on a ‘private’ meeting (in London) he requested with Steele of fraudulent Dossier fame. All tied into Crooked Hillary.”

In a story published by Fox News, it is believed that Warner had ‘extensive’ contact with Adam Waldman last year, who is a lobbyist. In addition, it was reported that Waldman’s firm had ties with the former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Warner is the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee. Reports suggest that he was seeking to establish contact with the person who prepared the dossier, Christopher Steele. Steele’s fraudulent memo was used to justify FISA surveillance on Donald Trump, it was recently revealed in the Nunes Memo.

Warner reportedly exchanged several text messages with Waldman, according to the Fox News report. Adam Waldman is a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch who was approached to make contact with Steele.

However, Sen. Marco Rubio ( who is also part of the Intelligence Committee), dismissed the report in a tweet posted on Thursday, in which he mentioned that Warner “fully disclosed” the contacts to the committee and saying they had “zero impact” on the committee’s investigation.

The Senate Intelligence Committee is one of the many congressional panels that is probing the Russian government for its interference in the 2016 election.

The top Democrat in the committee, Mr. Warner said that he has acquired some extraordinary documents in the ongoing probe.

“We’ve had new information that raises more questions,” he said last month.
