The liberal media keeps obsessively badgering Republican presidential candidates about their stance on gay rights.
But it’s not to see whether they shallowly “evolved” like Obama and Hillary Clinton claimed to have done in the last few years (conveniently as poll numbers began to turn.) It’s a desperate ploy to paint the GOP into a corner on social issues.
Unfortunately, Ted Cruz is just a little bit smarter than the average liberal media pundit.
After fielding multiple gotcha questions on gay rights, one reporter asked him if he had any “personal animosity against gay Americans.”
One question too far.
Cruz exasperatedly asked, “Is there something about the left–and I am going to put the media in this category–that is obsessed with sex?”
Then he lowered the boom.
“ISIS is executing homosexuals–you want to talk about gay rights? This week was a very bad week for gay rights because the expansion of ISIS, the expansion of radical, theocratic, Islamic zealots that crucify Christians, that behead children and that murder homosexuals–that ought to be concerning you far more than asking six questions all on the same topic.”
Kudos to Cruz for pointing out the hypocrisy of the liberal Left–who seems to love third world dictatorships that torture and murder women and gays, and then turn around and act like the Republican Party is the biggest threat they can think of.
