NFL Legend Tells Son: “Drop the Hood Stuff!”

It’s not every day your dad embarrasses you in front of almost one million Twitter followers–but for Deion Sanders, Jr., that day was Thursday.

Deion Sanders, Jr., is a sophomore wide receiver at Southern Methodist University–and he’s also the son of Deion Sanders, the legendary NFL cornerback who won two Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys, and who now works as an NFL analyst for CBS Sports.

Deion Sanders, Jr., posted on Twitter: “Gotta get the hood doughnuts almost every morning. If my doughnuts don’t come in a plain white box, I don’t want them!”

And his dad came back–in front of 910,000 Twitter followers–with a fantastic smackdown only a parent could give:

“@DeionSandersJr you’re a Huxtable with a million $ trust fund stop the hood stuff! Lololol. Son. #Truth.”

It’s good to know that Deion Sanders is keeping his son honest–and making sure his son realizes that he is not, in fact, “hood.”

Of course, don’t feel too bad for Deion Sanders, Jr.–with a famous father, a million-dollar trust fund, and a football scholarship, looks like he’s doing pretty well.
