Surely, the American people can’t be surprised that this happened, now that Democrats controlled the House.
The first thing Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who was sworn into office yesterday, did as a new member of Congress was go on an unhinged, anti-Trump rant at a posh Capitol Hill reception hosted by liberal group MoveOn.
Tlaib began talking about her son, who she quoted as saying to her, “Mama, look, you won. Bullies don’t win.” And then she said, “’Baby, they don’t.’”
Tlaib then turned to Trump, saying: “Because we’re gonna go in there, we’re gonna impeach the motherf**ker!” (It’s unclear if she actually used the word “motherf***er” in front of her son.)
Democrats tried to stay away from using the “impeachment” word during the 2018 election, for fear that it would turn off the American people.
But now that they don’t have to face voters for two more years? Democrats like Tlaib are coming out swinging.
Even Democratic leadership is getting onboard: new House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) refused to rule out the possibility of impeaching President Trump.
