Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, took to his email to send out an urgent plea for support last night.
In the plea, Mook said:
- “If Donald Trump takes the Republican nomination, our party will lose more than the presidency.
- “Years of progress will be ripped away. Obamacare will be repealed. Marriage equality will be rolled back. Get excited to visit the wall on the Mexico border — and get ready to pay for it if President Trump can’t magically get Mexico to cough up the cash for it.”
Just months ago, Trump’s presence in the raise was the stuff of laughter for the former secretary of state.
Today, he’s the boogeyman that’s being used to shake loose dollars from campaign supporters.
Robby also referred to the success of Bernie Sanders in the appeal but made no mention of any other contender, whether Cruz, Bush or Rubio.
The reality for Hillary and Mook is that those contenders don’t pose a credible threat to the left’s establishment candidate.
Trump, who has appealed to anti-establishment voters on the left and the right has been largely leading in the polls when directly compared to Hillary compared to other candidates.
Rubio polls the best against Clinton yet continues to place a distant third in the race for the GOP nomination.
Rubio has been running against Hillary and Obama consistently through his campaign.
Last night, Hillary retweeted the following Tweet to scare his liberal supporters:

With the Clinton campaign using the threat of Trump as their primary fundraising motivator, it’s clear who is turning out to be the eventual nominee.
