Four MSNBC Hosts Evades Taxes, While Calling for Higher Taxes

MSNBC-Tax-Evasion

“Taxes for thee, but not for me.”

Maybe MSNBC should make that their slogan, instead of the widely-panned “Lean Forward.”

Despite MSNBC’s parade of liberal hosts calling for higher taxes on the rich, at least four MSNBC hosts have had tax warrants or liens issued against them.

This time, it’s host Toure Neblett (better known as just “Toure”), who owes a total of $59,712.55 to the state of New York–an amount higher than the national median income.

Of course, Toure is unrepentant. Despite the tax man filing a warrant mere months before, he tweeted: “Tax avoidance… has fueled inequality more than hard work.”

Toure joins a stable of MSNBC hosts who refuse to walk the walk when it comes to paying taxes.

Melissa Harris-Perry, who hosts the show of the same names, owes more than $70,000 in taxes. She and her husband have only just begun to pay off that debt.

“We actually do better as a country when we spread the wealth around,” Perry has said.

Just don’t spread around her wealth, thank you very much.

Further, Joy-Ann Reid, who hosted MSNBC’s The Reid Report, owes $4,948.15 to New York.

And then there’s Al Sharpton–the famous racial huckster who allegedly owes upwards of $4.5 million in unpaid taxes. He vocally denies he owes that number, as he quietly dispatches wealthy benefactors to pay his own tax bill.

“Every time there’s… a Ferguson or a Trayvon Martin, we go through my taxes,” he claimed.

Right. Racism is the reason Sharpton owes $4.5 million to the American people. As President Obama likes to say, “That’s just math.”

Unfortunately, the rest of us stuck paying taxes on time and in full–all while getting called out as selfish by high-income MSNBC hosts who are cheating the system.

Here’s hoping that MSNBC hosts Toure, Joy-Ann Reid, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Al Sharpton settle their debt to the American people–and learn the value of wealthy people like themselves “paying their fair share,” by next April 15.
