Border Wall To Get Billions In Funding

Border Wall
If you build it, they won't come.

President Trump has requested a budget of more than $23 billion to fund the construction of the southern border wall, to stop the flow of illegals into the country. Congress has been given until March 5 to address the problem of DACA recipients residing in America illegally.

According to the framework offered by the President, the current plan would offer legal status to over 1.8 million illegal citizens in exchange for Wall funding, and a dramatic reduction in refugee and immigration and visa quotas. The deal would also eliminate the “diversity lotter” visa program and chain migration.

Congress has already approved a budget increase by $300 billion for fiscal year 2018, which will be used to rebuild the military.

The White House also requested for $782 million to hire nearly 3,000 additional law-enforcement agents and officers, who will be deployed in U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Alongside this, the administration has requested for $2.7 billion to pay for ICE, to be able to support an average of 52,000 illegal immigrants in the detention facility per day, which will be the highest-ever for the agency.

“Just because this deal was signed, does not mean the future is written in stone,” Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said on “Fox News Sunday.” “We do have a chance still to change this [debt] trajectory.”
