Most of the political attention in America has been focused on the wild GOP primary season and the rise of the Donald. Talks of a contested convention and the establishment stealing the nomination are rampant, and people say the Republicans are divided like never before.
What isn’t getting the same attention is the rise of the Bernie and how Hillary is starting to really get nervous. The Democratic Party is split almost as bad as the GOP, but could be more devastating.
If Bernie keeps winning, and wins Hillary’s home turf state of New York, then you will see a different Hillary Clinton. She is getting nervous now, and her tone is changing.
In an interview in New York, Hillary questioned Bernie’s qualifications on running for president because of the way he has voted in support of gun rights.
This is coming off her refusal to do a debate in New York until Bernie changed his campaigns tone towards the former Secretary.
Bernie didn’t hold back. He responded with his own remarks about qualifications.
“She has been saying lately that she thinks I am quote-unquote not qualified to be president. Let me just say in response to Secretary Clinton, I don’t believe that she is qualified if she is, through her super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special-interest money. I don’t think you are qualified if you get $15 million through Wall Street for your Super PAC.”
The feisty Brooklyn Bernie continued.
“Maybe Secretary Clinton might want to apologize to the families who lost their loved ones in Iraq, or to the massive levels of destabilization we’re now seeing in that region.”
Despite both trying to disqualify each other, both are qualified to be president. It’s not like they were born in Canada or anything.
Things are heating up, and they should. Bernie, without hardly any national media attention, is breaking records with fundraising and attendance at his rallies. Celebrities are starting to swing their liberal weight behind the senator from Vermont.
Hillary is starting to get scared, because she knows if Bernie keeps winning states and can even win New York and possibly California, then her chances of being Madam President will fade again like they did in 2008. Can that really happen?
Yes! Not only does she have a looming FBI criminal investigation over her, many of the high-end donors are spending money to stop Trump and not even paying attention to Bernie.
Bernie Sanders and his movement is catching the Democrat establishment by surprise, and when they realize that the youth of America want Bernie and they won’t vote for anyone else, the convention will have no choice but to go with Bernie or they risk fracturing the party worse that the GOP does.
With all the craziness in both parties this year, it is no wonder that it is the year of the outsiders: Bernie, Trump and even Cruz. Any other year, you would never see the establishment on the right rally behind Cruz, but we see it this year.
Who knows what’s even going to happen next. But with Bernie finally attacking the Clinton machine, this race has just gotten a lot more interesting to watch because the establishment candidates on both sides are starting to burn.
